Grand Terrace has recently experienced turbulent times – losing our
redevelopment agency, dropping property values, and an increase in the cost of
providing basic services.
Tight budgets are the reality for Grand Terrace residents for the foreseeable future. The people have spoken and the city must learn to live within its means. We as a community must find additional revenue from new sources to continue to offer basic services at acceptable levels.
Grand Terrace deserves a Mayor who will remain focused on the important issues facing the city, even during the difficult times, while maintaining a positive attitude and portraying Grand Terrace as a great place to live, work and raise a family.
The City deserves a leader who takes a stand for fiscal responsibility, one who will not be frozen by obstacles or “things not going as planned”; a leader who believes the value of a City lies in its community, its local control of property use and zoning with a balance between business friendly and resident friendly.
I have been that leader and representative for all Grand Terrace Residents and I am committed to being that Mayor.
I'm asking you for your vote.
